Cultivate Your Inner Garden~
As a trained special, elementary, and Waldorf teacher, I know the various diagnoses that can be placed on individuals, as well as the various conventional and alternative treatments that can be suggested. Rather than avoiding, re-acting to, or medicating unpleasant thoughts, feelings, or behaviors, flower essences can help us to remedy our angst at its source and help us to resolve our own conflicts.
Flower essences help us heal ourselves from the inside-out. Flower Essence Therapy is gentle, and in this way is ideal for even the youngest child. It also can be a powerful, self-directed approach to deep healing for adolescents and adults. Depending upon one's age and situation, Flower Essence Therapy can help individuals to release their self-thwarting thoughts, emotions, and behaviors surprisingly quickly, especially when compared to other forms of on-going therapy. In this way, Inner Garden Flower Essence Therapy can be a natural first and cost-effective approach to a better sense of well-being, for children, adolescents, and adults.
My Journey~
Since 1979, I have sought ways for children, and adults, to heal themselves. My desire to assist children began that summer, after working as a camp counselor with children who had emotional, behavioral, and/or learning challenges, many of whom had experienced a great deal of trauma in their young lives.
In order to learn more, I chose to study special and elementary education in college. Later, as a special education teacher, I was introduced to Waldorf education and its wholistic, therapeutic, and soulful approach to education. I then completed my Waldorf teacher's training and my master's degree in education in the late 1980's.
Having worked with many children over the years, in various settings, my greatest education came as I entered motherhood. As my daughters grew, I continued to seek wholistic methods to best support and strengthen them physically and emotionally.
While working as a resource support coordinator and Waldorf teacher, I found the anthroposophically-based Flower Essence Society. Having used certain flower remedies for years, I then became trained by the Flower Essence Society in 2002 and soon after became a certified FES flower essence practitioner.
With flower essences, I found a bridge to help individuals to align themselves: body, soul, and spirit.
With flower essence therapy, I found Nature's access route and pathway to healing.
